Manufacturer: Global Anabolic
Chemical name: Recombinant Human Erythropoietin
Strength: 5000 IU
Size: 10 vials
Erythropoietin is a natural glycoprotein produced and secreted by kidneys, it regulates red blood cell production in bone marrow. Recombinant Human Erythropoietin (rhEPO) is used in the treatment of chronic renal failure(CRF), anemia specially caused by cancer. Anabolic steroids such as Anadrol 50 or Nandrolone Decanoate at one time where used to increase red blood cells count and to treat anemia, but EPO replaced them and took their places that is due to its more effective therapeutic actions.
Nowadays, there are more than three erythropoiesis stimulating agents, epoetin Alfa, epoetin beta, epoetin omega and others. The main action of synthetic rhEPO and natural EPO is to increase red blood cell count, thus increasing oxygenation of the whole body including not only organs but muscles too, which can result in increased performance and endurance for athletes.
The idea of increasing red blood cell count to enhance oxygenation actually existed before the production of rhEPO, and it is called blood doping. Blood doping means storing your own blood, then administrating it on timed schedule to increase red blood cell count in a certain period of time.
The rout of administration of EPO may defer from one to another. It can be administrated subcutaneously or intravenously, the deference between these routs is how long would it take for EPO to act and to cause peaked blood levels.
For athletes seeking an enhancement in their performance and endurance, a low dose starting from 5IU per K.G of total body weight. Three injection per week for two to three weeks, will for sure keep a high red blood cell count for more than three months.
Although EPO has a great therapeutic effects, when not used properly, it carries some side effects so dangerous that could be fatal. If this drug used not properly or doped more than necessary, a thrombus can develop and might stop and bloodstream to an important organ causing sadden death.
Here are some of the side effects that might this drug cause, and how to manage or avoid them if possible:
- Chest pain
- Swelling of ankles, finger and legs
- Weight gain
- Flu-like symptoms
* Please make sure to consulate with your doctor before taking this drug, and check with him in case any of these signs and symptoms develop.
