Information about Human growth hormone (HGH)
Somatotropin is a polypeptide hormone produced by the largest gland of our body, namely the pituitary gland in its anterior lobe. The hormone contains 191 amino acid residues. Somatotropin is mainly responsible for the growth of our body, with the greatest amount of this hormone produced at night. That is why infants and young children need a lot of sleep in order to grow. After being released into the bloodstream, growth hormone enters the liver, where it turns into insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1).
For a long time it was believed that the only place where growth hormone stimulates the formation of IGF-1 is the liver. At the moment, it is already known that muscle cells also have growth hormone receptors and are able to form IGF-1. A prerequisite for this is the entry into muscle cells (as well as into liver cells) of a sufficient amount of testosterone, insulin and thyroid hormones. It is also noteworthy that IGF-1 in muscle tissue cells affects not only the growth and division of the cell in which the receptor is located, but also on neighboring cells.
IGF-1 is responsible for the activity of growth hormone in our body, and the growth of the body is not always uniform, but spasmodic. The first growth spurt occurs at the beginning of our lives and lasts up to about two years. The second leap occurs in preschool years, and the third in adolescence. And even when the production of growth hormone slows down, it continues to affect the physical and mental state of our body. Slowing down the production of growth hormone begins at the age of 20, and according to scientists, its level decreases by 15 percent every ten years. Not surprisingly, in the body of most people over the age of sixty, only 25 percent of growth hormone is produced.
Usage of Human growth hormone (HGH) in sport
For athletes, the ability of HGH to gain muscle mass and promote fat burning is of interest. The bodybuilding world, for example, met with growth hormone in the early 80s of the last century, and its appearance significantly affected the successful development of this sport. Athletes of those times were very different from those who built their body back in the 70s before growth hormone appeared.
HGH is one of the most powerful anabolic and lipolytic hormones for bodybuilders, and the action of growth hormone depends not only on your genetic preset, but also on your diet.
Growth hormone has long been used in bodybuilding, since its effect on the body is relatively safe. In addition, HGH provides an opportunity to solve two critical tasks: build lean muscle mass and get rid of excess body fat. Growth hormone has other beneficial qualities. It accelerates wound healing, strengthens bones, cartilage and ligaments, has a rejuvenating effect.
In the course of the studies, a beneficial effect on the immune system, a partial restoration of the functions of organs that partially atrophy with age, blood saturation with glucose and, as a result, an improvement in strength and performance were noted. Young athletes may experience growth of tubular bones, so that you can grow a little up to 26 years.
HGH allows you to create a beautiful muscle structure, so growth hormone is popular with bodybuilders. But in powerlifting it is used less often: recent studies have shown that strength indicators increase slightly.
How to use HGH?
There are two ways to administrate this drug. It can be administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously. The dosage of HGH hormone depends on what an individual is looking for. For off-season purposes, a dose of 6-8IU per day for a male athlete will provide tremendous benefits and high recovery rate with lean muscle mass considering that you are on an adequate diet. A lower dose of 2-4IU per day while on cutting cycle will increase your metabolism allowing to burn more fat especially if stacked with another anabolic steroid.
For female athletes, a low dose ranging between 1-2IU per day will be beneficial and will grant a notable changes.
It does not matter what dosage you are on; high or low. The usage of Glotropin HGH should not exceed 12 weeks. A period from 8-10 weeks is the standard to use it.
